Live Wire
Saima is wiring a whole apartment block in Karachi: lifts, pumps, gate alarms and the generator. Every job is a logic circuit. Build it, then test every row.
How it works
Each job gives you a rule, a circuit or a truth table. You do one of three things:
- Build the circuit. Tap a gate, then tap where a wire starts and where it ends.
- Complete the truth table. Tap a box to write 0 or 1.
- Write the logic expression. Tap the inputs, gates and brackets.
Press Check and every row of the truth table runs, one at a time, until the first wrong row. You see that row and what the mistake usually is. Any correct answer passes, not only ours.
Every job has a First try medal for being right at the first Check. Circuit jobs also have Size (fewest gates) and Speed (fewest layers). Our targets were checked by a computer search of every smaller circuit.
The building
