Python, right in your browser
Write a program, run it, and see the output. Type your answers to input() in the console. Make text files, import your own modules, and download your work as a .py file. Nothing to install.
Python downloads the first time you press Run (about 13 MB). After that, it starts fast.
A few notes
Typing input
When your program asks for input, type in the console and press Enter.
Behind the scenes, the program then starts again from the top with all your answers so far. You see one smooth run. Random numbers stay the same during one run.
Text files
Press + in the Project panel to make a .txt file. Or let your program make one with open("data.txt", "w").
A file your program makes or changes shows in the Project panel with an orange dot.
Your own modules
Make a second file, for example helper.py. Then write import helper in main.py.
Run uses the .py file in the open tab.
Limits
A program stops after 10 seconds, or after 50,000 lines of output. This catches a loop that never ends. You can press Stop at any time.
Saved on this device
Your files stay in this browser only. Nobody else can see them. Download a .zip to keep a copy, or to move your work to another computer.
